Extension of Health Insurance (AIG) for International Students

Under University guidelines, all international students should register for health insurance. As the term of the health insurance with the contracted health insurance company will expire as of June 30, 2014, please kindly extend the term of your health insurance during the following period:

* Students who will be graduating in August, 2014, should also join the health insurance and the term of the contract will be two months between July 1 and August 31, 2014.

• Application period for term extension: Wednesday, May 28 ~ Tuesday, June 3, 2014

                                                                              1:00 PM. ~ 5:00 PM.

• Place of Application: #201, International Center (2^nd floor of KFC)
• Health Insurance Company: AIG
• Cost

           - Male Students KRW 128,000

           - Female Students KRW 126,000

           - about KRW 50,000 ~ KRW 100,000 for two month contract according to your age

• Coverage

           - Death from an accident or disability resulting from an accident: up to KRW 500,000,000

           - Death from illness or chronic disability caused by a disease: up to KRW 100,000,000

• Term of the contract: July 1, 2014 ~ June 30, 2015
• What to bring: Insurance fee, Alien Registration Card, Student ID card

According to the group contract for all the international students of YU, this cost is much cheaper than making extension until the time you finish your study at PSPS.

If you have joined National Health Insurance Service in Korea, please submit a photocopy of the certificate to PSPS office by June 3, 2014. If you have joined a health insurance service in your home country, please submit a photocopy of insurance policy including term of contract and coverage to PSPS office by June 3, 2014.
