Call for Papers

 

Dear Students,
 

The Global Saemaul Forum is a venue where global leaders come together to share the Saemaul Spirts and find meaningful ways to address global challenges such as extreme poverty, pandemic disease, and climate change as a scholarly study and share them globally.


As part of the Global Saemul Forum programs, there will be a special session scheduled on 17th June where students who are currently enrolled in PSPS will have a chance to share their ideas and present their research results at the forum.


In this regard, students who are writing their thesis or report are strongly encouraged to participate. Thesis / report which is a work in progress are most welcome (approximately 20 pages of PPT file).
For those who would like to participate in the forum and share their research results, please notify the PSPS office no later than Friday, 8 May at 5:00 pm.

 

* Important Dates

  -  Application for Participation: Friday, 8 May
  - Due Date for Abstract Submission: Friday, 15 May
  - Due Date for Final Full Paper: Friday, 29 May at 5:00 pm.

The Abstract and Full Paper should be sent to the PSPS official email (psps@yu.ac.kr).

 

* Guidelines for Abstract Submission

  Abstracts should deal with any of the following themes:
  (1) Good governance and leadership
  (2) Poverty and food security
  (3) Education and lifelong learning
  (4) Public health and good life
  (5) Gender equality and civic consciousness
  (6) Population and energy issues
  (7) Climate change and natural resources management
  (8) Equitable development and transparent management
  (9) Social security and safe communities


Abstract should be limited to 300 words only. All submitted abstracts will be reviewed. All authors of accepted abstracts will become presenters at the Forum.

 

* Guidelines for Full Paper Submission

  - Paper format and length:
    (1) A minimum of 10 pages and a maximum of 30 in MS Word format
    (2) A minimum of 20 pages and a maximum of 40 in MS Powerpoint format
  - Official language: English
  - Paper presenters will be allotted 20 minutes for their presentation.

 

Due to the limitation on the number of students who can present papers at the Global Saemaul Forum, all submitted files shall be reviewed by a screening committee. Selected students shall be notified by the office via email or phone.
