  YU School of Architecture Professor Kwon Jong-wook (55) was appointed as the 11th chairperson of the Korea Facility Management Association. His term is for two years until December 2018.
 The Korea Facility Management Association, which was established in 1994, is an academic organization that conducts research on the improvement of corporate productivity through the management rationalization of facility assets. It has over 4,000 individual members and over 50 corporate members.
 
 Professor Kwon joined the association as a member in 1996 and served as the vice-chairman in the academic sector and general affairs. He also played a pivotal role in enacting the Korean Certified Facility Manager (KCFM), which refers to experts in facility management, qualification system.
 Facility management (FM) refers to operations for efficiently integrating user, work space, work processes, and advanced information communication technologies to maximize the value of facilities and buildings possessed by companies. It is used in academic fields such as architecture, real estate, and management.
