<YU Acting President Kim Jin-sam delivers relief funds for Seomun Market victims to the Mayor of Daegu in the afternoon on the 4th.>
YU faculty members teamed up to help the merchants who suffered severe losses due to the fire that occurred in Seomun Market in November of last year.
YU Acting President Kim Jin-sam visited the office of the Mayor of Daegu in the afternoon of the 4th and delivered 13.98 million won gathered by faculty members to Daegu Mayor Kwon Young-jin.
Mr. Kim Jin-sam said, "I hope that the heartfelt gift of YU members will help the merchants of Seomun Market get back to their feet after suffering such great loss."
Meanwhile, YU is also planning to offer special scholarships to the children of the victimized merchants due to the fire so that they do not face difficulties in school.
