YU handball club (head coach, professor Han Junyoung) won the 9th championship of handball tournament offered by the Korea Handball Federation, which is in the college division of Korea national sports for all. It’s the first time YU won the championship in handball tournaments.
This tournament, sponsored by the Korea Handball Federation, was held for two days from Nov. 4 to 5 at SK Handball Gymnasium in Seoul Olympic park. A total number of 8 universities including YU participated in the tournament.

YU started the tournament with difficulty, because YU lost the first game of preliminaries against Korean University of Foreign Languages. But, since then, YU defeated Hongik University and Kyeongin Nat’l University of Education successively. YU beat again Kyunghee Universtiy in the semi-final and Kyungpook Nat’l University in the final tournament, and won the championship.
