Created 3 large sculptures using trees in the campus destroyed by a blizzard in March
Outdoor exhibit held for school festivals adding to the festive mood
[May 23, 2018]
The large sculptures were made by using the trees damaged by a sudden blizzard in March at the YU campus.
YU Department of Business Administration junior Park Jong-jin (23) said, “It was interesting to see these new sculptures around the campus. Students can enjoy the artworks while traveling on campus and it makes the college festival even better. I hope that students will take a break from their studies and enjoy the festivals together.”
YU School of Fine Arts students majoring in transart transformed the campus into an art gallery in last year’s festival as well. This is their second project. Last year, the put on display a total of six pieces including a deer made with steel and covered with tree barks and a massive dinosaur made with paper boxes. This time around, they created a total of three pieces including a pegasus and a whale.
