The ‘Youth TLO Fostering Project’ aims at providing work for youths who graduated from engineering and science majors at industry-academic cooperation team technology licensing organizations (TLO, industry-academic cooperation team researcher) to help prepare for employment or start-ups. By being selected for this project, YU will receive 900 million won every year starting this for up to three years for a total of 2.7 billion won and thus select up to 80 people for the TLO every year.

The YU Industry-Academic Cooperation Team is planning to operate various programs together with relevant departments such as the school’s employment and start-up support departments not only for the employment and start-ups of graduates of science and engineering majors, but also to improve commercialization of the outstanding technologies possessed by the university.
YU Industry-Academic Cooperation Team Director Park Yong-wan said, “Through the youth TLO fostering project, science and engineering students can gain knowledge and work experience regarding lab technologies within the university and by enhancing their understanding on the technological needs of companies, it will help the considerably in preparing for employment or starting up businesses.”
