YU (President Sur Gil-soo) will make a lecture hall named after big donators to the college development fund. It aims at honoring develop fund donators who have taken the initiative in contributing to society
 The YU College of Engineering Hwagong Hall Room 109 ‘Noh Hee-chan Lecture Room’ opened in the afternoon of the 23rd. Noh Hee-chan (74) is the chairman of Samil Spinning Co., which is the top textiles company in the region, and he is also a YU alumnus from the class of ‘63. He donated a total of 670 million won to YU as development funds including funds for construction of the 60th year anniversary hall of YU.

Chairman Noh Hee-chan said, “It is an honor to have a lecture hall named after me at my alma mater where I studied hard to achieve my dreams when I was young.” He added, “I will continue to provide support where I can to help the university develop and help my juniors with their studies.”
 YU named the lecture hall the ‘Noh Hee-chan Lecture Hall’ and attached a plated sign showing the name of the lecture hall and the history of the donator. YU is planning to continue to make develop fund donator lecture halls in order to honor the social contribution activities of big donators to the development fund and to spread the culture of donating.

 YU President Sur Gil-soo said, “Naming lecture halls after those who helped the development of the school is not simply a token of appreciation, but also efforts to spread the culture of donating throughout the university and society.” He added, “I hope that the students who come to the lecture hall will remember the will of the donator and become a member of society who participate in sharing.”
